Fin de temporada de Inanna en el Teatro El Galeón

Inanna, la primera, la gran diosa de la civilización Sumeria para el amor, la guerra y la fertilidad sirvió de columna vertebral para la producción que nos presentó muy satisfactoriamente la Compañía Nacional de Teatro del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes.

Bajo la dirección de Lorena Maza y con la gran escenografía e iluminación de Alejandro Luna y los atractivos vestuarios de Eloise Kazan, esta puesta en escena nos llevó a revivir los textos que la poeta sumeria Enheduanna escribió hace alrededor de cuatro mil años sobre la mítica vida de la diosa Inanna y que fueron descubiertos y descifrados por el cuneiformista norteamericano Samuel Kramer durante el siglo XX. Con la música de Manuel Mejía, la coreografía de Shahrokh Moshkin, el maquillaje de Eloise Kazan y Mario Zarazúa y los peinados de Maricela Estrada; esta versión traducida al español por Elsa Cross y adaptada para la escena por Lorena Maza, nos representó y permitió comparar el importante papel de la mujer en la Mesopotamia de antes con el que tiene en el mundo de ahora.

Inanna se presentó con gran éxito del 10 de enero al 10 de febrero del presente año en el Teatro El Galeón del Centro Cultural del Bosque y nos dejó claro lo que Elsa Cross denomina como la "conjunción insólita" entre "la poesía más antigua de la tierra y el tema más actual, que es el de una mujer libre, capaz de madurar en plenitud, de desplegar todo su poder y su talento para ser dueña de sus decisiones y de su propia vida."

Omar MuñozOmar is a singer and actor born in Mexico City on November the 18th of 1987. He has made professional studies in Music with a Voice Major under the guidance of the soprano Maritza Alemán at the Superior School of Music (Escuela Superior de Música). He has taken as well, voice and repertoir lessons with teachers like James Demster, Juan Pablo Sandoval, Arturo Nieto, and Susan Young. To compliment his musical studies he has taken acting classes with Claudia Ríos at Performing Arts CasAzul (CasAzul Artes Escénicas) and with Ragnar Conde during the First Week of Singing at the Superior School of Music (Primer Semana del Canto de la Escuela Superior de Música). As an actor he has played main roles in amateur productions of West Side Story, Wicked, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Luisa Fernanda, and The Magic Flute. As a soloist, he has interpreted Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, Fernando Gabilondo Soler’s (Cri-Cri) music during the inaugural concert of the 9th Festival of the Latinamerican and Caribbean’s Children’s Song (9° Encuentro de la canción infantil latinoamericana y caribeña), and a varied selection of pieces in the production Voices at the Olympus (Voces en el Olimpo) presented at the 2010’s City’s Festival (Festival de la Ciudad 2010) at Mérida, Yucatán. He has presented himself in venues such as Javier Barros Sierra Theatre at UNAM’s FES Acatlán (Teatro Javier Barros Sierra), Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez Auditorium at Querétaro, Mexico (Auditorio Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez), Silvestre Revueltas Auditorium at the National Conservatory of Music (Auditorio Silvestre Revueltas del Conservatorio Nacional de Música), Blas Galindo Hall at the National Center for the Arts (Sala Blas Galindo del Centro Nacional de las Artes), The Gothic Chappell of the Hellenic Center of the Arts (Capilla Gótica del Centro Cultural Helénico), and the National Auditorium’s Lunario (Lunario del Auditorio Nacional). For the film industry, he participated in the recording of the soundtrack of Luis Vélez’s film Propiedad Ajena, as part of the vocal ensemble Voz & Tonic. He has also worked with music and stage directors like Edgardo Lar, Norma Suárez, Arturo Nieto, Enrique Arturo Diemecke, Miguel Salmon del Real, Eduardo Barreda, César Piña, and Alejandro Orive. Omar is currently studying his Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment Business Management (Dirección de Empresas de Entretenimiento) with a Theatre Management and Producing Major at Anahuac University (Universidad Anáhuac México Norte), and he is the Assistant Director and Musical Director of the Musical Theatre Workshop at his University under the direction of Alejandro Orive.
